Claudia Angelelli (Ph.D., Stanford University) is Assistant
Professor of Spanish at San Diego State University.
She founded the Spanish Summer Program and co-founded
the English Program for students at proficiency levels
3-4 at the Monterey Institute of International Studies.
She has also taught Spanish and LSP courses at Stanford
University, Catholic University, and Universidad del
Salvador in Argentina. She has more than 20 years experience
in professional translation and has conducted extensive
research on Superior-level speakers brokering language
and culture during interpretation. Her publications
address issues of heritage speakers and high-level foreign-language
proficiency.
